AMPL: Avionic Media Pipe.
- System for transmission, rendering and modification of audio and video signals implemented as a part of the SIMA/SIMG project.
- Used to guarantee civil maritime surveillance by Australian Customs and Border Protection Service.
- While1 has developed a special protocol to channel the audio/video signal through narrow-band satellite link.
Built from two different intercommunicating modules:
Video Grabber
Represents the object that will take care of capturing the images detected on board the aircraft by AMP-MP4000 board and remotize them on a WorkStation (Player) system.
Audio Intercom
This component is composed of two completely symmetrical parts capable of realizing the function full-duplex intercom (traditional phone).
WNIL - NATO Image Library Stanag 4559
- WNIL is an Image Library Gateway using the NATO standard STANAG 4559.
- The WNIL 1.0 is open to integrate more than one secondary image library (all proprietary images systems). It is possible to activate all integrated image systems in parallel, and all together are usables via 4549.
The software is write in Java and it is 100% portable.
The CORBA interface is implemented using the Borland VisiBroker package.
The required CORBA 4559 is now available. The reference is: NATO STANDARD IMAGE LIBRARY INTERFACE (NSILI) AC/224(AG.4)D/95 of 27 June 2000 (Edition 1) 7 April 2003 NSA/0273-AIR/4559.
